Probably the worst motivational speech ever, but here it goes...
I feel like when I weigh in on Saturday, it's going to be close to where I initially weighed in. But, that's OK!
Why?
Because I know that there are days (like Superbowl Sunday, New Years week, Monday, today, hell, last Saturday I went to Texas de Brazil) where I've eaten like a complete fat ass.
But here's the deal: If I have eaten like a fat ass 10 times (probably more) since Jan 1, that mean's I've eaten that much in the NEGATIVE on days when I've really put in the effort. Best part? I haven't lifted a finger.
So, new plan: Insanity in the evening, Crossfit in the morning. 3 hard boiled eggs, 2 cups of coffee after Crossfit, light lunch that I've prepped for the week, snack on almonds, no dinner, MAYBE a protein shake after Insanity. And quit eating the damn donuts brought to work every day. Monday/Tuesday King Cake. Wednesday Cookies. Thursday pizza. This place is ridiculous with food! But I've had it all before, it tastes the same. It's good, but not good for me. And I need to work on NOT letting good get in the way of great.
How about a group goal of dropping a half ton? If 50 people signed up, that's an average of 20 lbs per person. What do y'all say?
So, horrible motivational post...but y'all feel free to post something up to motivate others.
I am back motivated starting today.. I did great the first two weeks.. my biggest issue is whiskey.. I dont drink during the week and do great and then drink on friday and saturday and turn into a fat ass again. It makes me lazy and not want to work out too.. So I am going back to no drinking and strict diet..
Hey JT. How is that Peleton? This next couple weeks I’m gonna really buckle down. I have my first half marathon on the 29th so diet, sleep and training got to be good
Way to go, JT. My diet was horrible last week. I stepped on the scale today (forgot I need to post my feb 15 weigh in) and it was 288.6 I think that is break even, just as I suspected. Today has been good. There is cake, muffins, candy left over at work from Valentine's Day but I'm saying "NO". Keep up the good work peeps.
Hope everyone is doing well. For once since this shooting match started my weight is going the correct direction. Havent changed diet much but have been just eatinf bewtween 12 and 8 pm. After 4 or 5 days i dont even each much for supper.

Well the gym closures sure put a damper on me. My wife and I are considered “essential business”, so very fortunate to not be missing income like some others are experiencing. It has been super difficult to get motivated to work out at home though. There’s something about the act of driving to the gym that gets me motivated to put in work when I get there. My men’s ministry group met by Zoom on Tuesday. Some of the guys in there were experiencing the same issues so one of the guys decided for us to start a “last to 1,000” daily challenge. This is kicking my ass, but it’s been great to get the body moving again. Yesterday was day 1 and the challenge was 500 air squats and 500 seconds of planks. My legs are on fire today!!!! Today’s challenge is 500 push ups and 500 flutter kicks. Kicking my ass again! I’m just busting out what I can in between handling clients. Pretty sure this is harder than my regular gym workouts!! I hope all of you guys are staying on track and being safe. Next weigh-in is a week away!
Lol. On on the Roba gain. I’m also essential and have a steady pay during these times. We’ve been eating out for lunch and dinner supporting the small locally owned restaurants in the community. That being said I’ve hit a 6 mile run and two 22 mile bike rides the last couple days. Holding steady on the weight.
