I’m going to try a variation of the KETO plan. It worked pretty well for me a few years ago when I last seriously tried to loose weight. The first three days are all protein and salad. All the protein you can eat. I had ground beef and eggs for breakfast. I am having Sirloin steak and salad for lunch. Followed by smoked/reverse seared bone in Ribeye and salad for dinner. I am using fat free Italian dressing on the salad and none of the good stuff. Just lettuce, broccoli, and cucumbers. the idea is to eat all of the beef you can for the first three days to get your body to switch the way your metabolism works.
The steaks sound and are delicious but trust me, by the end of the third day, you are tired of protein. That, for me, is what actually makes it easier to switch to the low fat low carb portion control part of the plan.

Same here but more Paleo
Lost great weight with Keto Went from 350 down to 274 Got Lymes and put 25 pounds on since school started.
So I’m cutting added sugar (paleo) and processed everything and focusing on clean eating.
I just love grapefruit and keto is no fruit and that’s really tough to sustain with 4 kids and a wife that aren’t keto.
I do love me some keto coffee w grass fed butter in the magic bullet. Add a tbs of cocoa powder and vanilla stevia drops. No carbs and tastes like heaven in a cup.

I tried going full on Keto before (last summer) and ended up miserable with multiple muscle cramps and spasms at night. Couldn't sleep for a week because of it. I was trying everything including have 2-3 cups of chicken broth soup just to get my sodium level up to a crazy high level and taking potassium and other supplements. This time I'm going to start with no sugar and no refined carbs. That allows me to eat fruit and whole grain rice but doesn't allow me to eat break or tortillas (i'm going to miss my breakfast tacos!). Once my body gets used to that, I'll probably try to move into Keto. For exercise, I plan to do the "None to Run" plan for the first 12 weeks. www.nonetorun.com/#the-plan I'll mix in some bike rides and weight lifting in there as well. Both will start on Monday for me but will try to eat as clean as I can between now and then. My b-day is Monday and my 10 yr old daughter likes to bake me a cake so will eat a slice of it then after, i'll be clean.

You can’t out work a bad diet. However once you get your diet dialed the more calories you burn the more fat you will lose. Drink lots of water. More than you want to.

Drink lots of water, watch your carb intake and make sure to get in some daily movement. Remember it is all about Calories In versus Calories Out.

Really trying to concentrate on meals this first week. Only drinking water. Eating Keto, because it’s easiest for me to adapt to and I’ve seen the success my wife has had with it.
I cut out: Packaged foods Bread Sugar Alcohol Most carbs Happiness😐

I went to lease and did a ton of walking around. Lost 3 lbs when I got back, however, I drank probably a half gallon of water last night and didn't pee til I woke up, and it was dark, so I was/am dehydrated.
My wife is nursing our son and unfortunately has to go completely dairy free. I am going to eat all the dairy in the fridge and then join her. Will also be doing keto, 30 to 45 minute walks at work on lunch, and hopefully a meal prep when the food is gone.

I cooked about 20 chicken breasts and a whole pork loin (which I cut into 3oz pieces) on the 1st and put it in the fridge.
Today looked like this:
Breakfast: 2 cups coffee 3T MCT oil
Lunch: (Papasitos) 4 Shrimp Brochettes 2T Guacamole 1T Sour Cream 2T Queso
Supper: 6oz Pork Loin 1 cup sautéed zucchini 1T EVOO
About 100oz of water.
I’m not hungry. I’m not counting calories, but macros (70%Fat, 25%Protein, 5%Carb) and I track everything that I put in my pie hole using the MyFitnessPal App. I’m eating between 1500-1800 calories a day.

Did IF the last few days (about 16-18hr fasts then eat 2-3 small healthy meals and lots of water till 6-7pm. I start a Cleanse tomorrow with 6 specific drinks per day. Plan for 3 days but we’ll see how first day goes. I’m sure they’ll taste like crap. I’m feeling good with lots of energy and shedding water weight fast so far. Gonna hit gym latter part of week. Good luck fellas

I have been doing good so far. Except for a friends kid's birthday party Sunday afternoon. I got right back on the Wagon Monday and have been steady. I know I lost a lot of water weight before the party but haven't let myself get back on the scale after the party. I will get on the scale tomorrow AM to see what my 1 week weight loss was. I am hoping that the party didn't set me back much.

I just made this simple spreadsheet and chart to map my progress. I just plugged some goal numbers into it to give you an idea of what it will do. I put it here so others can use it if they would like.
